Many may not know, but the Metamora Women’s Club has long been the organization behind our village-wide garage sales. We were recently informed that the club has officially disbanded.
We first want to extend our sincere thanks to the Metamora Women’s Club for their decades of service to our community. Your dedication and hard work have not gone unnoticed, and we are truly grateful for all who have contributed over the years.
As we move forward, we want residents to know that the traditional first weekend of June is still set aside for the community-wide garage sales—this year taking place June 4th, 5th, and 6th. However, there will be no official map available this year.
The Village is currently seeking a group or individuals interested in continuing the legacy of organizing these sales in the future. If you would like to get involved, please reach out to Dawn Deeb at ddeeb@villageofmetamora.com.
