Share the Spirit of America with Metamora!
On Wednesday, July 8, the Village of Metamora will take part in a nationwide initiative inspired by America 250, as communities across the country come together to read the Declaration of Independence at the same time on the same day. When the Woodford County Historical Society asked us to join in, we couldn’t pass up participating! The following is the schedule:
– Declaration of Independence reading by various community members and singing of the National Anthem by Metamora Village Trustee Merle Weyeneth – 5:00 PM
– Live Music by Madison Godinez – 5:15–7:00 PM
– Dinner on the Bricks Food Trucks – Big Papa Jake’s & River City Sweets and Treats, LLC – 4:00–7:00 PM
