On Friday, February 6th, Congressman LaHood Visited Metamora to announce that the Village of Metamora has been awarded $4 million in grant funding for a new public safety building for fire and EMS. This funding was secured through the office of Congressman LaHood.
Both prior and current Village administrations and staff worked diligently with the Congressman’s office over several years to pursue this opportunity. The new facility represents a vital investment in Metamora, strengthening public safety operations, addressing the needs of first responders, and enhancing emergency service capabilities for those who live in, work in, and visit our community.
