17.52.030 Temporary uses.

In the event of a fire or natural disaster which results in the partial or total demolition of a single-family residence making it unfit for human habitation, the zoning administrator, upon application from the owner of such residence, may issue a special permit for the use of a mobile home during rehabilitation of the original residence or construction of a new residence, subject to the following conditions:
1. The mobile home must be placed on the lot of the home damaged or destroyed,
2. Required water and sanitary facilities must be provided,
3. The permit is to be limited to six months, but in the event of circumstances beyond the control of the owner, the zoning administrator may extend the permit for a period or periods not to exceed sixty days, and the foregoing only provided application is made fifteen days prior to expiration of the original permit,
4. The mobile home is to be removed from the property upon issuance of an occupancy permit for the new or rehabilitated residence,
5. The applicant gives express consent and authorizes the village to remove the shelter at his or her expense upon termination of permit. (Zoning ordinance dated 6/3/03 § 12-3.0)
