All territory that may hereafter be annexed to the village shall from the time of annexation be considered as being in the R-1 district, unless otherwise designated by the zoning ordinance amendment. Prior to, following, or at the time of annexation of any territory to the village of Metamora, an application for rezoning may be filed with the village clerk and thereafter processed in the manner prescribed for amendments.
