Chapter 15.40 HOUSING STANDARDS
15.40.372 Exits.
Every dwelling unit shall have not less than one means of
exit, with at least one doorway having a minimum head room of six feet eight
inches, leading to safe and open space at ground level. Every dwelling unit in a
multiple dwelling of three stories or more shall have immediate access from its
doorway to two or more approved passageways with minimum head room of seven
feet, six inches and a minimum width of three feet, leading to safe and open
