Chapter 15.40 HOUSING STANDARDS
15.40.328 Heating.
Every dwelling shall have heating facilities which are
capable of safely and adequately heating all habitable rooms, bathrooms and
water closet compartments within its walls to a temperature of at least seventy
degrees Fahrenheit at a distance of eighteen inches above floor level when the
outside temperature is minus eleven degrees Fahrenheit. Portable heating
equipment employing a flame and heating equipment using gasoline or kerosene do
not meet the standards of this chapter and are prohibited. (Ord. 1977-14 §
