Chapter 15.20 POLE BUILDINGS
15.20.040 Requirement of certification.
In addition to the drawings and specifications required of
the applicant in Chapter 15.16, the applicant shall also submit to the director
of village inspections, a signed and sealed certification of a registered
architect of the state or a registered structural engineer of the state covering
the following points:
A. He has reviewed and is familiar with the manual entitled
Pole Building Design, published in 1969 by the American Wood Preservers
Institute mentioned in Section 15.20.020; and
B. He is of the opinion that the proposed pole building meets
or exceeds every requirement, performance standard, and specification applicable
to storage uses of pole buildings included in the above manual; and
C. He has reviewed and is familiar with the results of a test
of soil conditions at the proposed site for the proposed pole building;
and
D. He is of the opinion that the design of the proposed pole
building will insure adequate foundation for the building at the proposed site,
based on the results of the test of soil conditions mentioned above. (Ord.
