The construction of pole buildings is authorized for use for storage purposes, notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this building code, so long as the proposed pole building meets or exceeds every requirement, performance standard, and specification applicable to storage uses of pole buildings in the manual entitled Pole Building Design, published in 1969 by the American Wood Preservers Institute, 1651 Old Meadow Road, McLean, Virginia 22101.
