Chapter 13.64 SEWER EXTENSIONS
13.64.020 Size and construction details.
The size of the sewer to be built shall be determined by the
village board, but in no case shall it be less than eight inches in diameter.
All extensions to the public sewer shall be made with vitrified clay pipe
conforming to ASTM C-700 extra strength or ABS pipes conforming to ASTM D-2680.
Joints shall conform to specifications set out in Section 13.52.020. Manholes
shall be constructed at each change in direction (horizontal and/or vertical)
and not more than four hundred feet apart on straight sewers. Construction
methods shall be in accordance with the "Standard Specifications for Water and
Sewer Main Construction in Illinois" adopted by the village board and on file in
the office of the superintendent. All construction shall be subject to the
inspection of the superintendent or other designated representatives. (Ord.
