The village president shall take all necessary and appropriate action to compel compliance with the provisions of this chapter. He is authorized to cause appropriate legal action and proceedings to be instituted, and is authorized, when necessary and expedient, to call upon the chief of police to assist in the enforcement of this chapter. It shall be the duty of the chief of police to perform such enforcement acts as may be required of him. (Ord. 1976-9 Part D § 6, 1976)
