Chapter 5.26 RESIDENTIAL SOLICITORS
5.26.030 Notice regulating soliciting.
Any person who does not wish to be approached by solicitors
at such person’s place of residence shall comply with the following
regulations:
A. Notice of the determination by the occupant of any
residence that the occupant does not wish to be subjected to soliciting shall be
given in the manner following: A sign or card, approximately three inches by
four inches in size, shall be exhibited upon or near the main entrance door to
the residence containing the words, NO SOLICITORS INVITED.
B. The letters shall be at least one-third inch in height.
For the purpose of uniformity the sign or card may be provided by the chief of
police to persons requesting, at the cost thereof.
C. Such sign or card so exhibited shall constitute sufficient
notice to any solicitor of the determination by the occupant of the residence
that such occupant does not wish to be subjected to soliciting. (Ord. 1995-10
