Each license required by this chapter shall terminate at the end of April and the end of October in each year for which it was issued except that the fee paid for such license may be reduced on a prorated basis for each calendar month for which the license shall not be used if the license is relinquished to the village by the licensee. In the event the license is issued during the six-month term, the fee for the license shall be pro rated for any full calendar months which have already expired during the six-month term.
