A. The village, in the ordinance codified in this section, elects to participate in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund, effective January 1, 1974.

B. The village clerk is directed to promptly file a certified copy of the ordinance codified in this section with the board of trustees of the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund. (Ord. 6-1973, 1973)
